With these apparently heavy materials, the artist succeeds in conjuring light-footed and fresh dream objects, in which amazement turns out to be an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
The characters she paints are warm idyllic figures, stylized and reduced to their essence, but provided with a number of - mostly round and sumptuous - attributes that give them a dreamy, almost fairylike appearance. A bright touch of color ensures that these figures are not static statues, but come to life and express emotion.
Where the material molds the characters into touchable individuals, the colors create an emotional palette that stimulates the senses and gives the canvases a warm appearance. Despite being full of energy, they remain intimately simple, however complex the layered structure of the works may be.
