LE MARQUIS HANSEN

Hansen was born on November 5, 1944 in Leiden and died on May 31, 2005. The works presented are some of the last he made. 

He was 26 years old when he first started painting professionally. He took the name Le Marquis for his work. On June 24, 1989, he was given a place in the Guinness book of records by making a painting with a surface of 625.84 m2 within 24 hours.

His work is characterized by magical realism.
